This Week with Stephanie Sinclair

June 26 - July 2, 2008

SSinclairIt’s July, and that means it’s officially Summer (not you, Summer, the season). I took the Vista Cruiser in so the greased-up man at the auto shop could take a look under her hood. Now, before your mind slips too far into the gutter, he was not covered in the good kind of grease, he was missing at least four teeth, and he smelled like rotten eggs. But, he knows his way around the Cruiser’s engine.

To quote the infamous Bette Davis, “buckle your seatbelts, boys [and girls] it’s going to be a bumpy night [week].” There’s a lot going on this week, and I don’t want you to miss a beat, so I’ve started a new tradition. Each morning, when I wake after a few martinis and some hard sleep, I post my best bets for the evening on the official OIA blog, OutLoud. You can find it at www.outinasheville.com/outloud. You’ll find my best bets for gays, lesbians, bisexuals, trannies, and queers in North Carolina and South Carolina (and sometimes in Tennessee). Bookmark the page – or your fingers’ll get tired typing all those letters.

The pride season is off and running this year, and a few pride events are happening this week.
